Our favorite route through Sipsey Wilderness to the falls led us to Borden Creek where crossing was a really big deal with a steep muddy slope on the other side. The payoff was knowing we could play in the falls. In hindsight I wish I'd handed the camera to someone to take my picture crossing Borden Creek. What sweet memories!

Nothing Compares to Family Camping

When a baby is born in our family the first thing I figure out is when their first camping trip will be!  It's hard work to go camping with little ones, but so very rewarding! Our kids are grown or almost grown now. I'm so glad we took the time to sleep in tents and roast a few marshmallows together! There's nothing quite like a family camping trip!

Lora and I went camping a day ahead of everyone to have some mother-daughter time. It was the calm before the storm and she was ready for her cousins to arrive!
